Alright the question was not a great one, It was an attempt to keep the ball rolling. However I do think that some have missed the point, Ofcourse you are going to assend, if this happens I believe that all people out there have some common sense, contrary to what some of the answers show. The question that you where ment to think about was how to you requlate the reat of you assent to do it as safe as possible, with no gauges. Possible answers may have been 1 Find another buddy pair and come up using their gauges as a depth but not decompression guide. Find the anchor line and knowing approx what depth you where at at the start of the dive and knowing that your hand extended on vertically above your head to you mouth is approx 50cm work up the line counting the depth down ie 40m 39.5m etc until you come to the stop depths, work out the air requirements and do the 1/2 2/3 1/6 rules to the air remaining to work out stop times 3 possible use you smallest bubbles as an asent rate monitor, the smallest ones move upwards at approx 12m/minute. etc etc etc Please infuture look at the question and analyise it They may sound stupid, however they are mean't to make you think about SAFE ways out, NOt SLitting your wrists and GIVING UP as some did. P.s. Thinking of an answer to Tracys question at the moment, will reply soon, nice question. ************************************************************************* _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/_/ tow@uk*.ac*.nb*.ua* _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ PROUDMAN OCEANOGRAPHIC LABORATORY _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ BIDSTON,MERSEYSIDE _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ ENGLAND.
