You have a pony bottle. The 30's are fairly common (well, maybe: not too rare) here in SC as boat trips can be up to 40 miles offshore. I wear one for the same reason you do. I don't ever want to ride in a Coast Guard helicopter. We lobster and fish in 100 ft and sometimes the current is strong. Couple that with 30 to 50 ft vis and sometimes staying close to your buddy gets to be more a theory than fact. I think the pony is cheap insurance. -Steve Breland
