WKPP has a change of schedule for the next two months: no Wakulla until the
13-15th of September, Friday setup, Saturday dive. Instead we will do Turner on
the 23-25, and Cheryl on the Friday- Sat of the Labor Day weekend. The Turner
dive will be to push the main line and the split, the Cheryl dive will be to
check the connection point, see if we can get a cleaner connection, find the
incoming bad water, and mark the safety bottle drops for the swimthrough. We
have a suprise diver for the swimthrough team, to be announced.
Wakulla State Park has asked the following: 1) to be an equal partner with
me in deciding who DOES NOT dive there. Obviously, we had some real assholes at
the last outing. I told them I thought that because of the intense pressure
from
the "personal preference" crowd that we should try including more people - NOT
SO, and I am relieved to hear that - I am sick of decompressing and wondering
how many idiots are screwing up around me.
2) They have asked that we not let anyone dive in any capacity that does
not work with the team at all other sites - BINGO - that is the new rule. You
don't show up to help at the tough ones, you never see Sally , Wakulla or
Indian.
3) The want us to use less people and I would prefer only the pros who we
have heavily trained - my no strokes policy is now acceptable, and is now in
effect.
4) I have a new permit and will add all of the names, and I will make
copies of the rules that each person will sign. This is the final list - not on
this list , don't dive with WKPP. We are under no further encouragement to
teach
pigs to sing, or to keep the cave-diving community happy.
OBVIOUSLY, we have been given a reprieve here with some new constraints.
I
will put up with no more nonsense. If I ever see anyone show up anywhere near
one of our sites with any sign of strokery or an attitude, I will personally
escort them to the exit. There will be no deviation of any kind tolerated by
this organization for any reason.
We have a serious job to do, and I will get it done, with no more
problems. The pattern is full, the door is now closed - the weenies can howl
until their transformer packs fall off, we are not giving an inch. I expect to
see a full house for Cheryl, minus the Turkey crew, and that is the list I will
work from. - G
