I just got a Diverite Transpac with superwings on the weekend. (I
got a good deal.)

I guess these are what George calls "bondage wings".

I have a few questions which someone may be able to offer an opinion on.

I mainly do deep air (<60m !) wreck dives with deco mixes in stage bottles,
and with a wetsuit - hence the need for twin bladders.

The Superwings are bound with shock cord. If you inflate them
the shock cord applies so much pressure that the over pressure
release blows off at what I would guess is only 1/2 full. That
would still be over 40lbs lift but it doesn't seem to make a lot
of sense.

On the positive side it seems to me that:
1. If I remove the shockcord the wings are a little on the huge side,
so the shock cord keeps them tight stops them getting damaged in
   wrecks etc.
2. The shockcord stops the air forming a large bubble at the top (or
bottom if you are head down) and the better air distribution means
   better weight/boyancy distribution.
3. If the shockcord let the wings expand properly it is probably more
of a plus than a minus.

A possibility could be to use thinner more compliant shock cord which
would allow the wings to expand better.

Anyone else use these and had a look at this "feature" ?

Guy.
