Lawrence, I have found that I consistently get symptoms vaugely similar to what you describe whenever I breathe a mixture with a PO2 in excess of about 1.7 atm or so. My symptoms are very subtle, though - more of a slightly confused state of mind (but different from narcosis) than dizziness. I never noticed this in my days of deep air diving, because whenever the PO2 was that high, the narcosis masked it. I don't know what it is, or if it's indicative of an imminent convulsion, or what. I understand that these symptoms are similar to the "aura" experienced by epileptics immediately preceedign a seizure. On the other hand, I have been exposed to MUCH higher PO2's, sometimes with heavy exertion, but have never convulsed. Aloha, Rich
