I've been asked for a title of a book on equipment repair and maintenance.

One readily available to any dive store is:

SCUBA Equipment Care and Maintenance
by: Farley and Royer

It covers tanks, valves, regs, BC's, and more.

Other than that, any you can find to help.
Also try actual service manuals for equipment, such as the ones
manufacturers provide. A store may let you peek at one in the shop
if you're friendly.

One other good option I give my customers (active customers) is the ability to
attend a portion of an actual manufacturers repair clinic. In most areas you
can get a rep from a manufacturer to come in and give a select group (I choose
the most active or techies) the actual repair course. From this point, I don't
let them do any repairs in shop, but I do help them work on their own, so they
know what is going on inside their gear.

Good luck and if anyone else has equipment repair book info, pass it on to this
list, as it is important that these people learn for themselves.
