Rod, Maybe I'm crazy, but I think of "reliable" as gear like my scubapro regulator I've used for 800 dives without a failure....when you talk about a rebreather being reliable because its makes it all the way through one or two dives, ....well, I'll stick to my standard dive gear, and I don't think I'll find too many applications it won't be safer for.
