On the weekend of July 20th the Woodville Karst Plain Project will be diving at Wakulla Springs. We are always looking for people who are willing to listen, learn, help out, and enjoy diving. That weekend I will be more then happy to put on my best "Z" shirt and pontificate about our standards, how we do things, what is expected of support personnell, and all around help out any new people that would like to come out and join us. If you think you would like to become involved with the WKPP then do one of the following: 1) WRITE me email (kens@uf*.ed*) saying you will be there 2) CALL me at my work (352) 392-2007 and say you will be there If you give me advanced warning then I will be able to put together a handout with our standards already written down on them for your reference. Please note that the week of the 8th-14th I'll be in California so good luck on trying to reach me by phone. What we will expect is an honest days work, you to chip in, you to do what you're told and not make excuses. What you will receive, being a part of the largest organized continuous running cave diving exploration project in the world, access to world class diving (we DO have all of the keys), and other benefits (price breaks on gear, seeing first hand how it is really done the right way, etc. etc.). We ran a big "New Recruits Weekend" about 3 weeks ago. We had 15 new people show up, help out, and they all got to dive the 'Mt. Everest of Cave Diving' (quote taken from the Miami Herald, 6/31/96). I will not guarantee any new recruits will get the chance to get in the water on their first time out because if we have the support personnel on hand, then we won't need the new guys in the water that weekend. However, I will guarantee fun will be had by all. We will all meet on Saturday, July 20, 1996 at 7:45-8:00am in the dirt parking lot on the left hand side facing Wakulla Springs Lodge. I'll be wearing a blue "UFADP SCUBA" T-Shirt, wearing glasses, and driving a teal Honda CRX Si. Hope to see you there, Ken Sallot WKPP ps - I understand Jim Wei will be wearing the "Z" shirt on August 3rd if you can't make it on the 20th.
