Rebreather Forum 2.0 Update
26-28SEP, 1996
Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza
Redondo Beach, CA

6.30.96

Greetings:
Plans for the Rebreather Forum 2.0 are rolling along well. I have spent the last
few weeks on the phone talking to participants and interested parties. Everyone
seems to have issues they would like to see addressed and I am working to
incorporate these into the program (see below). NOTE THAT IF WE HAVEN'T CALLED
YOU, I APOLOGIZE. WE ARE TRYING TO WORK THROUGH OUR LISTS AS FAST AS WE CAN.

Facilities:
The hotel and meeting room facilities are nailed down (see below). We are now in
the process of securing a large pool for the Saturday hands-on session. We
should have the pool nailed down in the next week. Dive'N'Surf , a dive retail
facility owned by Body Glove has agreed to support our pool session.

NOTE THAT WE HAVE A LOT MORE PEOPLE TO CALL/CONFIRM.Apologies if I have
Inadvertnetly left you off the list.

PROGRAM/SCHEDULE:
The thrust of the workshop will be two-fold; 1) To bring everyone up to the same
playing field in terms of basic knowledge/understanding about rebreather
technology, 2) To identify and hash out the outstanding community issues re;
rebreather technology, to enable to bring this technology to market in a
responsible and productive manner.

Based on your input, I anticipate that the program will be a combination of
informational presentations, and panel and audience discussions. It's my hope
that we can identify a set of workshop goals/objectives and work through these
over the three days. My hope is that we will end up with a definitive community
statement/agreements on rebreather technology.

I plan to have a registration package including a preliminary program in the
next 10 days. This will include a participant questionnaire to help us flush out
issues and objectives. These will be emailed/faxed out to you on about the
second week of July.

We do plan to produce a detailed proceedings to be published with the help of
DSAT, and completed and ready for distribution by DEMA'97.
