Be warned!  Last weekend two 30 cuft. ponies failed in the S. Florida
area.  The first that I'm aware of developed a crack in the neck
during filling.  The owner was watching and was able to dump the tank
before it further failed.  I've inspected this tank.  It is a LUXFER (sp?).  I
didn't note the batch, but I will try to identify it and post.  

I visited another dive shop in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday and was told
that still another 30 cuft. pony exploded over the weekend at a
competitor's dive shop.  No details about the type of pony or
conditions were available except that the guy who was filling it was
sent to the hosipital in serious condition.

Please, report similar cases.
