Rhony ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: diver death Author: CONWAYJD@ef*.ef*.na*.na*.mi* (Conway; John) at Internet Date: 6/26/96 9:43 AM A diver died 23 June while diving the ocean venture aboard the Virginia Mae in Virgina beach, va diving double 80's on air w/ a wetsuit single outlet manifold and Sherwood reg w/ octopus. and Jacket style bc buddy lived, no manifestation of symptoms of any kind diver's body was recovered and air lifted by USCG, unfortunately he did not survive the diver was a 24 yr old male from Richmond VA the Ocean venture is a sunken liberty ship the wreck starts at 140 fsw with a 170 fsw max depth , approx 55 miles east of Va Beach, VA the wreck is know for its portholes and 100lb lead pigs Wreck lies in three main sections with the highest piece being the coal bunkers in the stern. which is where the Virginia Mae was anchored -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@terra.net'.
