From what you and others(Bill Mee/Barry) say I would not been associated with him either. I had no choice except to make a statement when you post training accident on the net. I responded to your pot smoking thing because I had about ten people call me at my office and state you were on the net calling me a pot smoking drunk. I will put my students up to anyones out there including JJ who I refer many people too, along with Steve and Larry. Ask John Rose what he thought of his course ask JJ about the depth of skill and knowledge in my programs. I generally allow everyone to go to there limits just as Parker Turner did with you and his students. I do more stage diving in cave course than about anyone out there. I only agree to teach cave and technical diving to folks who can convince me they have a good backgroung in diving. I take great pride in producing good students. I have not lost a cave diving student ever nor has one been killed cave diving todate. I concentrate on survival skills more than anyone you have ever met in instructional programs. The IANTD program is the stictest and most demanding of all certification programs. We require more skills and more in water time than anyone, many technical instructors do not certify thro us due to the stress management exercises and the minimum bottom time requirements we mandate. In fact many refer to as UDT style training and we take that as a compliment as UDT trains people to survive in the water. IANTD has had only one training accident that I'm aware of and that was a student of whom his buddy and he , made a private plan to exceed the depth of the course and took off from the instructor and did their ill fated dive. Why other divers did not rescue the girl in the water I do not know, I was not there so do not know the details of why they did not. Unlike you I would decompress for a 15 minute dive to 200 feet. Then again I used to run the only chamber treating divers in south fl and have seen some sever results of folks not respecting decompression. You should talk to Andy or some of the hyperbaric people who are on this net. If you elect to take that risk it is your acceptance and no one questions that but do not encourage others to. Now if I had a six minute dive and saw someone in trouble, yes I most likely would assist them then I would soak up some oxygen at 15 feet for a few minutes to compensate for any ommittted deco and a rapid ascent in the rescue. But that is my choice not a risk other divers may elect to indulge in. I hope we have cleared up all the issues and we can"Kiss" and make up George. I want to be friends with you but like you I also state what is on my mind whether it agrees with you or anyone else or not. I hope you can accept that and still be friends. Remember I also stick and have stuck up for you on numerous occassions such as when you were kicked off some of the nets etc. Anyway I'm off to the Uk, so will be away fro this scene for awhile. Do you and Bill Mee plan to go on my next blue hole trip in Sept. Tom mount I really do not like fighting with you but you make statements that require answers sometime. I ignore most of them but if I think something is distasteful such as your post on Kris, not that kris may not have deserved it but his family does not. I stepped in on the Peter issue because you stated another training accident with high po2 and blasted hell out of training agencies, What are we suppossed to do let you blast all of us and be silent, you know you have called me numerous names , had your little poem or rather you stated your sons work (N.Miami Hillbilly) posted and all and then if I respond to you on a ligitment issue you go nuts, be interested to see your response if someone attacked you the way you do me and all the others you go after.
