Bob's bottom time was on the order of 15 hours, his exertion level was extreme, and hydration was a problem. The resulting hospital stay was short, he was treated for dehydration, and did a short chamber dive as a precautionary note because his fatigue dissipated when he went on O2. Next year's event will be organized differently in order to open up participation to a larger segment of the diving population. Only eight divers qualified to participate in this year's event because of the danger involved. In the end, only Bob participated. It should be interesting to see what changes are made for next year.
