Transport regulations for diving tanks
Here in Germany there are some bureaucrats running amuck in setting up
regulations for the
transport of diving tanks in street traffic. Besides common sense (preventing
from rolling around)
there are further requirements like a special sticker attached to every tank
with the contents
and weight of the tank written on it, a special protecting device for the
cylinder valves.
There are some other, rather odd, requirements like adequate ventilation of the
trunk
(for air bottles??), no smoking during transport and loading operations(the
dangers of smoking
are certainly elsewhere), a special transportation form with certain
informations concerning
load and way of transportation mentionend.
At the moment there are not many people using gases other than air, otherwise
our dear bureaucrats
would have a new serious problem.
How is the situation in other countries?
