George Facts on Jim's dive HE WAS NOT A STUDENT IN A DIVE COURSE OF ANY KIND AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT HE WAS already A CERTIFIED NACD CAVE DIVER HE WAS A CERTIFIED BASIC NITROX DIVER THE DIVERS STAGED ON AIR TO HILL 400 THEN SWITCHED TO EAN 40 OR 39 ACCORDING TO WHICH OF THE ANALYZERS YOU ACCEPT. THEY THEN SWIM TO THE DOUBLE DOMES MOST OF THE AREA IS IN THE 80 AND 90 TO MID 90 FOOT DEPTHS A SHORT AMOUNT GOES TO 100 TO 101 FEET AS YOU KNOW IN THIS PASSAGE. SO THE MAJORITY OF THE DIVE WAS AT PO2'S IN THE 1.3+ TO 1,41 OR 2 AREA WITH SPIKE TO 1.59 IF HE HIT THE DEEPEST POINT.(freshwater) 100 feet 1.59. No I do not and IANTD does not think that is a safe mix for a dive and hopefully no one does that anymore the last time I saw that high a mix in the eye was you about three or four years back. To my knowledge you discontinued that practice along with deep air at the same time. No one is defending the dive or the po2 just setting the record straight. I do not think and IANTD states working dives/technical dives the highest operational po2 is 1.4 ata. The rest of this is between you and whoever else, but do not mislead people by stating someone is in a training course when in fact that is untrue. When you make statements like this many people accept it as fact, please be careful in what you state and be sure it is true, Nor are you proper by stating it is a recommended dive by the training agency. I just verified the certifications prior to responding to this. The point I made in the earlier post was he had a multiple of problems a high spike in po2 (not considered by most at that time (including you then) to be high and an overdose of sudafed which in itself can cause the same reactions as an o2 hit dig out your PDR.
