Hank: I agree with you completely. I probably just did not verbalize it properly. I'm not saying that one should rely whole-heartedly on one's dive computer. On the contrary, I'm saying that was definitely a mistake on the diver's part. She should not have simply surfaced because her computer said it was OK, she should have been well aware that under multi-dive conditions safety hangs are always in order. My point was simply that the dives cannot be evaluated by simply plugging final numbers into the deco program because there are too many other variables (which, judging by your post, you are also well aware of). I was simply making a point. As for myself, I have often found myself hanging on a lonely anchor line long after my computer said it was OK to ascend. Regards, -Joe >...
