But when I thought it through, I decided that that guy wasn't the true winner at all. The true winner is the *boyfriend of the widow* of the guy who dies. The boyfriend gets to play with everything (if you know what I mean) -- and didn't have to pay for any of it! Cool. Actually, you haven't lost anything. WKPP's work has a firm, honored place in the history books. And will certainly continue to write history. So will others. Besides, cave diving is not ice-hockey. I consider every cave diver who keeps his/her entry-&-exit ratio at one-to-one a winner. Best of all, everyone wins when more is discovered about our aquifers.
