*Discuss* all you want. But the REAL question is, what are YOU willing to
*do* about TODAY's problem? Near as I can tell, not a damn thing. That's a
choice, certainly. Maybe even a reasonable choice for many. But let's at
least be honest about what we're up to and skip the intellectual drivel
being offered as an excuse.

WHAT!!!!

Are you kidding??? Look, I keep my mouth shut most of the time, because I'm
here to learn, but now you're talking ethics. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna
sit here and listen to you cut down people who are doing nothing BUT think
about
the future of the Indians. But the main topic has been helping them. You seem
to think that the only way to help them is to throw more money down a hole.
They are thinking of the future. If you don't want to think about the children
of the Indians you are so passionate about, then fine. Every suggestion I've
heard about schooling/education/training, and diversivication of food supply
and
industry, etc. have all been made with the future in mind. Intellectual
drivel
my ass. When will you address the problem? Maybe when the life saving medical
technology can't keep up with the untrained diver as they go deeper in pursuit
of their prey? I don't know if lobster can survive at 300 feet (but I bet they
won't be the same color), but if you have your way, it looks like we'll be
finding out in no time. You know, I bet you could find some old Navy guys who,
for a quiet place to live and food to eat, would help to educate divers.

Think about the future, and work towards it.

I apologize to all the clear thinkers on this group for this......venting.

And, yes, these opinions are only my own.
