If you have not ever lived or really experienced a third word (maybe even fourth) , you should know that while the longer term methods might provide some relief, they are just that - Longer term- what it appears is neccessary is the short term survival techniques that a chamber could provide. Societies such as this or even more modern third world countries have major populations performing life threatening services to allow their own meager sustanance. The education factor will not put food on the table of roofs overhead and will in fact prevent them from obtaining these items. > The real "heartless" people are the ones providing these poor >souls with scuba gear and compressor parts, air fills or whatever >in the first place. Anything for a buck, I guess. M. That is for sure- not just here , but in all countries- Unless there is major controlled legislation and then enforcement, nothing will keep these "employers" from hiring those that are "willing" to make the 'huge sums" of money that these jobs offer If the "informed diver " will not dive then his postion is easily filled by hundreds of others willing to do so. Dive education will improve the odds of survival but not for some time to come/ Ken
