I fail to see how your hardsuit would be any cheaper than a conventional
JIM suit.

Certainly. The only caveat is cost, which is still *way* too high. But the
same was said not so long ago about rebreathers, and now everybody's so
excited about them.

Bottom time, depth and no DCS.

Also, it takes away some of the freedom of scuba, and the feeling of being
one with the sea (sound too zen?).
