>There is a little test the you and your buddy can do. .... Here's another test. Take a rusty adjustable wrench down with you and try to tighten a few nuts. Saturday I spent about 5 minutes focused on adjusting a defective wrench that would not adjust. Would not have been bad if we had more than a 10 minute bottom time limit with 3 minutes burned on descent. I dug my own wrench out for later dives, but it still seems to take forever to figure out which way to turn the worm drive to open or close the wrench. Lessons learned: --Bring your own tools, don't count on the other guy. --Take the proper size tool for the job, adjustable wrenches are too much to think about down there if you are short on time. Good news is the moorings are in place on the Cowle, Vienna, Sadie Thompson, and Osborne off Whitefish Point in Lake Superior. A few more wrecks should be buoyed next week.
