The new BioMarine CCR500 fully closed circuit rebreather is being shown at
Houston Sea Space on June 1 and 2 and at the dive show in California on
the Queen Mary (don't know name of show or date). BioMarine recently
delivered a second CCR 155 to a diver from Hawaii who is being trained in
its use by Leon Scamahorn in Oregon as this email is being written. The
CCR500 was slated for sale at $7K (as of Jan. 1996) but BioMarine may have
dropped the price since the rebreather marketplace has been flooded with
Odyssey rebreathers- you know- the world's safest rebreather touted
several months ago with all the press releases about it being manufactured
by one of the majors. Rod
