I've been using the Light & Motion 30W (Makita batt) system on my (L&M)
Stingray housing for almost 2 years now. Had them down to about 180 with no
problems at all (Camera housing is rated to 200). These things put out a
phenomenal amount of light for their size and it is VERY even from edge to
edge. No hot-spotting at all! Design & construction is really first rate
(same as for L&M housings). 
I really like the idea of using Makita batteries because that makes both
replacement (or spare) batteries and chargers both easy to get and real
cheap compared to other U/W lites.
(No, I don't have any affiliation with Light & Motion, other than being a
satisfied customer who has had to put up with some real junk - like Ikelite
- in the past).
