The reply I got by subscribing suggested the following:

"How about sending your first message to the list to introduce
yourself to the group and to let everyone know what your areas
of interest are, and perhaps also your level of experience."

It sounds like a decent idea so here goes.

My name is Eric Mieczkowski. I've been diving for about six years.
I've got my Master Diver certification through SSI, but I definitely
don't consider myself an expert. (I've logged about 95 dives, which is
probably not terribly impressive to subscribers of this mail list.)

My primary interest is wreck diving. Almost all of my diving is in the
Great Lakes on shipwrecks. I'm currently certified in basic Nitrox
though I.A.N.T.D., and plan to get certified in advanced Nitrox and
Tri-Mix next year.

My gear includes a ScubaPro Mk10/G200-B, an OS Basic Dry-Suit, an
Aladdin Pro computer, and a Sea Quest BC. I'm planning on buying an
additional reg set this year in prep for next years deep and mixed gas
courses. I'm leaning toward the Poseidon Odin, but I'm also considering
a ScubaPro MK15 or 20 with a D400.

Some of the questions I want to answer befor next year are:
- What type of set-up will I want for my mixed gas doubles?
- Should I go with the Poseidon or the ScubaPro?
- Do I need to run out immediately and buy a new dry suit or will mine
make it for another season or two
- Should I consider replacing my computer with an air integrated and or
Nitrox model.

I'm sure I'll come up with quite a few more between now and then.

Anyways, I look forward to the discussions in this group. I've been
reading now for only a day and I'm already impressed.

Sincerely,

Eric Mieczkowski
