I don't know about the others, but Litle Dismal and Big Dismal are in the Appalachicola National Forest near Tallahassee. They are near each other, but not connected. Both go deep. Big Dismal is connected to Leon Sinks as of last Saturday. Both are excellent dives, but are off limits, other than to WKPP and FSU, and FSU just does sinkhole archeology. WKPP is also working all of the caves in this forest under ongoing permit to explore. These are generally logisticly difficult dives requiring gear to be moved down a 100 foot series of cliffs to the water, and then supported on a floating dock. We are required to have all kinds of safety measures in place as well. The dives are well worth it - Big D has giant passage and is still largely unexplored in the deep conduits. Little D is more of a visual experience - white walls , huge rooms, etc. Most Tallahassee cave looks like this. Access to the good stuff is the reward for actually doing something productive with this sport.
