Your weight belt should be as light as possible (especially if you use dry suite), it means that you should go down with empty BCU only. Don't move when it's unnesecerly, move is energy, energy is oxygen, oxygen is air. Use good regulator with small breathing resistance. Make yor breath easy and regular as when you swimming. Dont be nervous under water (stress makes your air consumption similar to 747).
