There are a great many Southern Ontario divers with a 130' > chamber dive as the first dive in their log books. Ian I believe that a chamber dive should be mandatory for OW I candidates, BEFORE they hit the open water; if I did not have had a chamber ride, where I was able to experience narcosis safely, I would not have noticed that I was narced when I did that 40 meter dive in minus 1 degree water (this was on the Bergeronnes Trader wreck, at les Escoumins, in the St-Lawrence estuary) where I had my free-flow. Knowing that I was narced made me more sensitive to my feelings. If I wasn't, I might not have detected my free-flow in time. ---------------- Pour la Republique Francaise du Quebec ----------------- This .sig is illegal in the states, because it contains a dirty word.
