>stty SET SWEEPING GENERALIZATION = ON >Everything else in the universe seems to conform to some set of natural >laws, why should DCI or the weather be any different? >stty SET SWEEPING GENERALIZATION = OFF What is a 'natural law? Sounds like an oxymoron. We don't have laws, we only have models, since I can't think of any natural phenomena which has been completely described. Chaos Theory, Fuzzy Logic, Fractal Theory and other new ways of modelling natural and artificial phenomena are powerful tools. They should not be discarded out of hand because they are mentioned in a couple of SciFi stories or form the basis of the control system in a washing machine. /Rat ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ shelps@ac*.ma*.ad*.ed*.au* | Stephen Helps FAX (08)232-3283 | Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Voice (08)224-5495 | University of Adelaide | ADELAIDE, 5005, South Australia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In ancient times the dinosaurs Ack! ___/| did oft' another vex, \O.o| And charging at each other =(___)= made tyrannosaurus wrecks.
