Using a portable sand blaster, connect a long wand to the nozzle. The extension allows you get the full tank depth. Once you have everything, it takes just a few seconds to remove the rust. If you have oxidation on the sides you can attach a tee to the wand or have the tank rolled. For media you can use white play sand or pick up glass bead at a local industrial supply house. The glass bead is extremely fine, several times finer than that of the white play sand.
