The biggest "disadvantage" of pressed steel 104's over any other tanks is that they cannot be legally filled in Canada! For we cold water divers who wuld love the buoyancy characteristics of the 104's, this is a real piss off. I have exchanged e-mail with Lamar, and he confirmed that the new batch of 104's will not carry the Canadian numbers that must be on any tank imported into Canada on or after January 1995. I can buy the tanks, and import them legally. But anyone in Canada caught filling them gets fines big enough to put them out of business. I realize that the numbers have nothing to do with the safety of the tanks, but if I can;t get them filled, they make expensive lamps. If someone can give me an e-mail or snail mail address or phone number for Pressed Steel, I would appreciate it. I would like to find out why they won't comply with Canadian regs, so I can get their tanks. (I imagine it's because they can sell all they produce in the the US, so they don't give a damn about us poor, freezing Canucks. But I would like to find out.) -- Grant Wilkinson Ottawa, Canada grantw@fr*.ca*.ca*
