It's been said before and needs saying again: Ideas and accomplishments stand by themselves. Good ones don't need a vociferous messenger (maybe just some enthusiasm.) It's just as easy to make one's point with diplomacy and tact as to be crude and vile. If people feel the need to scream, curse, and personally insult to ensure they are heard, maybe their message isn't all that compelling or valuable. Time always tells. On the other hand, suggesting a conspiracy and then crawling into a shell protect oneself is paranoid, childish, cowardly, and ultimately just plain ineffective. What happened to the courage of your convictions? Stand up to the light of day. Be professional. Act like mature adults regardless of what others do. If you can't, then the bell has already tolled. If we (editorially) don't get out of the gutter, we will never be taken seriously by the rest of the (real) world (politicians, the public at large, vendors, the media, private enterprises, etc.) To have a fundamental impact on the business of this industry, grow up and learn to do business. (Tell me I'm wrong in ten years time.) Art (Rat) Smith
