First off, stupid valve extender aside, are the OMS tanks bad tanks? I've never used them or checked them out closely, but I hate to think equipment is relegated to the "crap" pile because of a poor option, what's next - you don't like the color? Second, why the slam on New England Wreck Divers? I'd like to think jealously, but that's too easy,I figure it's just plain lashing out at whomever is convenient. Kinda like you only hurt the ones you love. Besides, the gases we're breathing and the equipment & configurations we're using were all derived from the wreck divers of the 60's & 70's. Can't we all just get along? Yeah, I didn't think so... Last, since Florida is a suburb of NY, does that make New England Wreck Divers and Florida Cavers cousins? NEWD From: George Irvine <gmiiii This is a common problem in New England wreck diving. The Jersey "Slobreel" holds a fat slob to the wreck until a skycrane can be brought in to lift them back on board. These "divers" carry "Slobhammers" and tool boxes with them - not to get artifacts, to get down to the wreck . They then collect up bits of rust that look real good on "Slobmix" (air). They dive with "Slobbles" (double 121's) - a tank so huge that even a fat slob can get 15 minutes on the "Doria" with them.
