I was thinking about the Odyssey and ran in to the following potential problem: According to the Odyssey literature it exhausts 1/5P of every breath where P is the depth in ATA. Now at 6 ATA/165 fsw/50 msw the Odyssey will be exhausting 1/5*6 = 1/30th of every breath. If an average breath is 3 liters then the Odyssey is exhausting 3000cc/30 = 100cc with every breath. It would not take a huge volume error to throw this off. For example if you were leaking 25cc out of the system with every breath you might run the risk of ox tox (assuming the Odyssey does not restict you to the supply gas MOD ). Can anyone who knows the Odyssey comment on this potential problem? Barrie Kovish Vancouver, Canada
