Thanks, Pete I don't know about the numbers, because I think it varies enormously from person to person, and within a person under different conditions. As for the symptoms I experienced, they happened during treatment for my bad DCI case in 1986. I was exposed to 28 consecutive treatments, each of which inlcuded a deep spike on nitrox, plus 4 hours at 60 feet on O2 (with air breaks every 20 minutes), plus a couple more hours on O2 at 30 feet. About mid-way through the treatment series (i.e., after about 2 weeks of these), I had a wide range of syptoms, including extreme nausea, numbness at the tips of my fingers, and difficulty hearing. Most of these were likely something related to CNS O2 toxicity, but I also had irritation in the lungs when I tried to take in a full breath. It was sort of a dull ache in my lungs most of the time, intensifying to a sharp burning sensation on full inhalation. All of these syptoms gradually intensfied during the course of the month-long treatment, but would subside during the periods between successive chamber treatments. > BTW, how's the diving been lately? Not much lately, but all next week I'll be doing a series of deep dives on the Island of Hawaii. Should be a blast - I need it! Aloha, Rich
