Subject: inflatable surface marker buoy
I am looking for a surface marker buoy that can be deployed by a diver
at depth, like a liftbag, will stand up on the surface like a safety
sausage, and will stay inflated. I want to use it in conjunction with
     an upline.

Billy Deans showed me a surface marker that looked like a heavy duty
safety sausage. It had a flapper valve at the base that allowed a
diver to inflate it at depth with a puff from a regulator, and then
remained inflated after it'd deployed on an upline. It was bright red
and more easily spotted from a chase boat than a liftbag.

Does anyone know where these things are sold? Billy mentioned that his
was of European manufacture. (I'd ask him, but the guy is as hard to
     catch as smoke).

     Andy Cohen
