Has anyone out there heard of progress on the `cryogenic rebreather' which I head of once? In it, the oxygen (and diluent if any) are stored as the cold liquids, and there is no absorbent canister, but the exhaled breath goes through a cold box where the CO2 and water vapour are frozen out by the cold released by the oxygen and/or diluent evaporating as they are used. Advantage: no absorbent needed. Disadvantage: the set must be filled shortly before use and can't be kept full ready for use for long periods.
