Subject: Re: need dry suit advice
Hi
Just a quick note to say that the British aren't so far behind in
dry suit terms.
I cave dive and tech dive in a 2mm crushed neoprene suit from a
company called Northern Dive. They custom made me a front entry suit with
a flap over the zip held down with velcro. The suit is the best I have
ever had. It not too bouyant, you can were the required amount of
insulation under it in terms of a thinsulate undersuit, its really hard
wearing or has been so far.
As to diving in it it keeps me warm at 50m in a quarry or in 4
degree C water in a cave. Being thin its flexible but has a much more
taylored fit than a membrane.

Its just a though but proves that thin neoprenes may be the way forward
