Sorry to keep beating this into the ground but:
I'll assume that what you say about the relationship between the CCR1000
and the Mark 15 is correct. This was my understanding too.
The following is from memory of the gas wiring diagram of the CCR1000.
If you are standing at the bottom and above the unit then somewhere on the
right hand side (plumbed into the O2 supply) is a flow restrictor. It's
part of a T in the oxygen line. The flow restrictor is probably not very
big, probably looks like a standard gas fitting. The line leading into
the flow restrictor contains a filter which needs to be periodically
replaced. The CCR-1000 manual states that this filter prevents the
flow restrictor from becoming clogged. The flow restrictor takes in
120 psi and outputs 4 liters/minute of O2. This is what I'm guessing is
the constant mass flow valve. After the flow restrictor the O2 enters an
accumulator and then is gated throught the solenoid. I tried contacting
Biomarine on this issue but did not get an answer (and I'm still waiting
for a *#$% parts and price list from them because we wanted to use thier
mouth pieces ). Note that a constant mass flow valve is very small and
has no moving parts.
