I am no longer on the techdiver list, so please e-mail to me directly, and not the list. I am a diver for the Drowning Accident Rescue Team in Sacramento, CA, and we are currently looking for new BC's. We have looked at one of the Ziegels and the Seaquest Black Diamond. Both BC's have the bladders in the back (wings?). This pushes the diver into a face down position. As we use EXO full face masks, we cannot use a snorkel, and the divers should be heads up when on surface anyway. We did not use the integrated weights in either system (our shore support has a hard enough time dealing with our current gear). What I am hoping for is some good suggestions on BC's that could be used in black water, swift current, and in restricted areas (pulling a body from a vehicle). We need quick release straps on the front (our current BC's do not have them, and are a b**ch to don and doff with our new drysuits), heavy deneer (SP?), easily repaired in the field (bladders?), d-rings that could be used to lift a diver, and enough volume to float a diver with above average weighting (due to the current). Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. A brief description and price range would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
