Subject: Apology - Divers score with P.G.P.

It ocurred to me today while conversing with George that we have been much
too critical of certain individuals and their discussions regarding and
obvious use of P.G.P.. I now realized that the regular
use of P.G.P. by a large percentage of the cave and so-called technical
diving community has resulted in an established hierarchy which might
otherwise have taken years to evolve. I feel like a complete stroke for
not having immediately recognized that P.G.P. saves lives in as much as
it protects the diver from ever actualy doing something that would expose
them to life threatening conditions, as a matter of fact most
accomplished P.G.P. users are always protected since they never leave home
without it. The use and effects of P.G.P. have been a major factor in
the conservation results realized in the N.S.S. - P.G.P. - C.D.S.
they have witnessed a great saving in time, effort and
line and they owe it all to P.G.P. I think it might be helpful to look
at a few of the more vocal members of the P.G.P. dive klan:

Nick - I should have given more consideration to the valuable impact
P.G.P. has had on Nick and his "personal preferences". P.G.P.
has done its job by keeping this individual out of caves and in
the g bar where he belongs.

Richard - I think it is apparent that P.G.P. was able to limit Richards
accomplishments to things he is most suited to like being a
PADI instructor and performing horrifying acts on members of
          the same sex.

JoeL - JoeL, Nick, Richard and the above mentioned horrific acts have
some relation to the use of P.G.P., I just can't figure out what it
       is.

Cavelime - This is perhaps the most accomplished and recognized user of
P.G.P. on either of these lists. The use of P.G.P., not while
sampling mind you, has kept this individual from ever accomplishing
anything noteworthy , aside from embarrassing the dive team
           he has been associated with.

For all you guys do P.G.P. is for you !

If anyone else sees some benefits from the use of P.G.P. by divers I
would be interested in hearing a discussion on them.

 Rick
