Eric -- Excellent clarification.But I don't quite grok "large thermal
scattering cross section".Is energy, in the form of heat, "moving" thru or
across the argon molecules , or "stored" by them? I don't get it. Looks
like the only working density is mine!

All I'd ever been able to find out previously was the density story.
Apparently none of my sources were diving physicists.Thanks.
