I know that this is the wrong address for cavers - maybe someone could forward. I read that someone said something about the Navy and Sudafed on these lists. I called a hyperbaric/medical doctor type that I work with at NEDU and asked if the Navy truly has said anything about Sudafed and O2 tox. He is checking for me there and at NMRI. I'll let you know. I used Sudafed extensively in the upstream Sullivan exploration - its a killer on the ears scootering from 0 to 140 to 80 to ... and I had some serious ear problems (still do). I even took additional tablets during the dive, as these dives were in excess of six hours. I never had problems but this is shallow stuff. I do believe we were using O2 at 30' back then though. Since I've heard about possible problems, I don't use it any more and I don't start with O2 till 20'. It will be interesting to see any real test data. NMRI has been involved with O2 tox testing, lately. fitz
