As Sankey said, this is a diving list. Contributions to technical diving on this list, lays the foundation of respect and the heirarchy which its members interact within....If a person jumps on and their sole claim to fame here is their knowledge of encryption, I'd suggest they consider themselves relegated to the bottom of our gene pool. I've seen you like to slam George, and have completely forgotten the fact that he and WKPP have practically re-written cave diving, and their work with mixed gasses and gear configuration is already making tech divers safer ALL OVER THE WORLD. In terms of reletive contributions to this list, George is up here...... - - - - - and you are several pages below, at the very bottom (but I don't want to waste the pages on you so a few lines will have to do). Just what contributions do you feel you are competent to make??? Personal preferences? Butt mounting??? How to do a Giant Stride?? How to train for diving by watching TV and eating doughnuts??? Guys like Rob Wolov are brand new to diving, but the whole list listens to what he has to say, because he brings a great wealth of medical knowledge and physiology to this list---and this includes the most well known speakers of the list---guys like George or Rich Pyle or Carl and many others----they listen to what is valuable, and compliment the those who deserve it. You don't do Tri-mix or deep dives by your own admission. If you don't know the differences between the preparedness, training, and reflex levels associated with someone doing hundreds of 300 foot deep dives, versus a PADI/NAUI instructor on a 45 foot deep novice reef, then there is very little hope that your comments will ever be well recieved on this list. Right now Richard, I don't think you are due for any compliments. Instead of slamming George or WKPP, why not figure out what you can contribute to the good of the list, or just stay off the conversations entirely. I'd much rather read about why George or Sankey or Gavin wants to use a new piece of equipment, or about a new proceedure they have just started, than some little whining diatribe about who faked who's message.
