I never said my gas comsumption rate is good, but obviously it must be. I swim , as is U S Masters, run as in races, and ride a racing bike, I also dive all of the time. The swimming has an interesting feaeure in that it teaches you to relax the unsused muscles, inbetween strokes. I think this works well in diving, but most likely , in your case, it is a function of just letting some time pass while you get used to diving . In my case any gains are hard won in gas consumption, but they continue to come. -G
