Ho hum. I'm bored with all of this "long hose" - "short hose" "square light" - "block head" wars going on here. It's obvious to me that some people don't want to change, or admit what may be a superior way to dive, be it because of perceived attitudes, cost of equipment (hey shucking out $400 for a light is a pretty tough decision for most of us who don't make tons of money and it's pretty tough to sell that used square light these days...), or "personal preference". Bill Gavin was right when he wrote the last paragraph of his chapter in the "Art of Safe Cave Diving". It's time we get down to the only really decent debates that count.
