Some tricks that cave divers have been using for many years include:
Cheap old paperback books, the more lurid, the better. Get ones that
you don't care if you see the end of or not. You can tear them up and 
share the sections with your buddies. Please don't litter.

Magnetic board games such as parchesi. It is easy enough to make a 
folding board and magnetic pieces, the trick is the dice. Seal the dice 
in a clear plastic box about 4 inches square and attach a short line to 
it so that it will float with a level bottom. To shake the dice, just 
push the box down and let it pop up to the end of the cord. This will
bounce the dice around. 

Practise talking underwater through a regulator, a handy trick to 
cultivate.
