Folks, There is a thread running here that I think some people are missing (or maybe not, just not realising the base line of info). There is much to be said when diving in a group if the following apply:- 1. All members use the same gear configuration. Makes for easy times when gas emergencies occur. A 'constant' is incorporated into the event. 2. All members use the same gas mixes - that includes bottom, travel and deco. In the case of the gas sharing situation the deco plan remains the same. All members become familiar with schedules - no second guessing. Makes for an easy time for whoever is on gas mixing duty. 3. Rule 1 applies at all times 4 People classified under rule 2 will no doubt disagree with this post :-) PS For those that disagree with respect to diving in a group - if you think that this kind of diving is the casual 'hi can I tag along? - you have got more problems than you realise.
