Its happened, thats why I posted it.

I agree with you, but am I to trust every boat captain, or should I say
Skipper. I dont think so. Everyone makes a bad call once in a while so there
is a point where trust ends and you take care of yourself.

Again, I agree. But if you are too cheap or not skilled enough to carry the
right gear for the dive, dont post inadequate information on this forum.
Someone may get the wrong idea, and get themselves in trouble. Skippers,
Instructors-just because they have a title soes not mean they are adequate
for the job, or that they will always react the same way every time-some do
yes, but some don't-why take the chance?
