OMS simply sucks. Customer service bites. Griffiths is out in left field when
it comes to doing business with both retailers and customers. His valves are
not as reliable in my experience as Dive Rite or Sherwood or any other valve
manufacturer for that matter. His safety use a thread to fine and I have seen
and heard of seeveral problems with leaking safetys and stripped threads. As
for you getting your backplate back, forget about it. Spend a little money
and but a new dive rite plate. They have great customer service and stand
behind everything they sell.
