Hi everyone,
  my name's Simon Hanmer & I'm just re-subscribing to the techdiver 
listafter being off-line for a while, so I thought I'd re-introduce 
myself.

I'm a PADI trained diver, currently a DM, though hoping to get my 
instructors cert. sometine in the next year to 18 months. I've been 
diving for about 2 years now, with about 150 logged dives. I'm based 
in the UK so I'm fairly used to cold water & low vis diving (although 
I prefer it when I get to do some diving in nice warm clear water :)

I'm fairly into wreck diving, about 98 % non-penetration at the mo., 
but I intending taking the Wreck Diving course pretty soon, so hope to 
move on to more interesting penetration stuff. Being in the UK this 
tends to mean deep diving too, so I fairly regularly do deep dives 
(deep as defined by the PADI system, i.e < 40m, although I have been 
on a few dives deeper than this with more experienced people in the 
Philippines when I was doing my DM's).

Well that about describes my diving interests, although I'm also 
getting interested in UW Photography. Anyway I'll do my best not to 
just sit in the background lurking.......
